Mexican School of Quantum Engineering (EMIC)

2026

April 27 and 28, 2026

Instituto Politécnico Nacional

Ciudad de México, México

Welcome!

The Mexican School of Quantum Engineering (EMIC) 2026 is an academic event organized by the Transdisciplinary Laboratory of UPIITA, IPN, in collaboration with the Tikhonov Institute of Electronics and Mathematics in Moscow (HSE University), as part of the centennial celebration of quantum mechanics (1926-2026), within the framework of the 90th anniversary of the IPN and the 30th anniversary of UPIITA.

EMIC seeks to consolidate a space for training and dissemination in emerging quantum technologies. The event is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals with knowledge of linear algebra, and aims to provide theoretical and practical foundations in quantum information and computing, as well as a cutting-edge perspective in areas such as quantum telecommunications, quantum control, and cybersecurity.

The program consists of two days: the first, a leveling session with a theoretical-practical workshop and introductory presentations; the second, focused on state-of-the-art topics taught by national and international experts. With this initiative, the Transdisciplinary Laboratory seeks to position itself as a breeding ground for talent in quantum engineering, in line with the growing global demand in this field.

Call for Posters (CFP)

The organizing committee of the Mexican School of Quantum Engineering 2026 (EMIC-2026) invites the Mexican community, particularly undergraduate and graduate students and interested researchers, to submit research in all areas related to the development of quantum engineering and technologies. Participants are invited to present their research progress and/or thesis topics in poster format for presentation at the EMIC-2026 poster session.

Topics for presentation may include, but are not limited to:

  • Quantum information

  • Quantum computing

  • Quantum metrology

  • Quantum sensors

  • Quantum communications

  • Quantum control

  • Photonics and spintronics

  • Quantum optics

Among others

Submissions will only be accepted through the designated platform, where an abstract must be submitted for review by the EMIC-2026 Scientific Committee. The call for submissions is open until Friday, April 24, 2026.
